INSIDE THE OUTSIDER
by Arlo and Hyeyoung
Using a mixture of sculpture and photography, Hyeyoung and I build temporary environments made out of common materials with the sole purpose of being photographed. Sometimes we work separately to contribute to the series, other times we collaborate on a single image. In most cases the environments are destroyed and all that remains to us is the souvenir image

WANDERING
by Hyeyoung Kim
Sometimes images simply go where life leads me. I keep an open view of the world outside while collecting personal pieces of a quiet moment or a subtle surrounding.

FALL IN THE POOL
by Hyeyoung Kim
I discovered an unfinished swimming pool which gave me a rich environment to explore above, below and between.

FIGMENTS
by Arlo Keo Valera
Figments are a collection of ink blots on paper that I have then drawn on to create new images. I enlarge these small ink drawings into large paintings and murals.

THE SLOW EYE
by Arlo Keo Valera
I make my own pinhole cameras and take them on adventures whenever I can. It can take seconds or many hours to record an image with these very basic and almost primitive cameras. It creates a fresh perspective away from lenses, camera settings, and the multitude of images I am left with when using modern cameras. I have come to think of my pinhole camera as a tiny little eye slowly and quietly burning images on film one frame at a time.
